Nursery
Welcome to our nursery, where we provide a nurturing environment with a low teacher-to-child ratio of 1:3, ensuring each child receives personalized attention. With a maximum of 6 children per day, we prioritize quality care and individualised learning experiences.
Our curriculum follows Te Whāriki, the New Zealand early childhood education framework, and is deeply rooted in our philosophy and values. At our nursery, we believe in the importance of building strong relationships and fostering learning through play.
We embrace a child-led approach, allowing their natural curiosity to guide their play with open-ended resources. This method encourages creativity and exploration, fostering a deep sense of engagement and joy in learning. We highly value and encourage whānau communication and participation, recognizing the essential role of family in each child's development.
Our aim is to honor and follow each child's unique routines, enabling them to be active participants in their own learning journey. By doing so, we create a nurturing environment where children feel a profound sense of belonging and security. This personalized and inclusive approach ensures that every child thrives and feels valued within our community.
We place a strong emphasis on continuity of care, where your child's primary caregiver, their key teacher, will accompany them throughout their preschool journey. This ensures a seamless transition to school, as they move into the preschool room with their key teacher by their side. Continuity of care supports and strengthens relationships, providing your child with a secure and familiar presence as they grow and learn. During this process, the Anchor teacher will also provide additional support, ensuring that your child feels safe, supported, and valued every step of the way.
